Transcription: How to Use the Project Files for this Course

I wanted to talk to you about the course files that are available for this Dreamweaver CS6 course.0000

And I have a little listing here, these course file instructions will be available within the chapter files.0008

Now, you can download those from the exercise files folder underneath each video lesson.0018

Here is an example of that particular tab, the exercise files tab.0025

Now the idea behind these file is that you can step into any specific chapter when you want to and just download the beginning files for that chapter and start working through a chapter.0032

You can also have access to the files for the ending of the chapter as if you have gone through every piece or every lesson within that chapter.0047

So, you have the completed files for that chapter in addition to the beginning files for you to work through.0059

The completed course files are labeled with the word "end".0106

So those are the ones you can look at if you need to compare your files to mine.0111

The start chapters are labeled with the word "begin" in the course files.0116

My suggestion and I would strongly suggest this, is that you create a new lesson chapter for each lesson within the course.0121

That will allow you to isolate those specific exercise files and work through and focus on each lesson individually.0131

So that is my recommended method for working throughout the course.0141

There is also an extras folder within the chapter files.0146

Now, there are some additional files I use within specific lessons and I have those located within that file named extras.0151

And that's located within the chapter files. So it's folder that says extras inside of it.0201

Now within that there is a Dreamweaver short cut sheet available for you.0208

I do use a few shortcuts throughout the course and these are important shortcuts I feel to speed up your work within Dreamweaver; since a lot of web pages use the same tags over and over again.0213

It's a good idea to get used working with those and this shortcut sheet will assist you with that.0228

It does have both the PC and Mac shortcuts for the various things that you want to do within the program.0235

So, I just wanted to make you aware that there are course files.0243

This course is designed for you to go through the exercises with me if you like or just watch the lessons or you can watch the lessons the first time and then work through the course files yourself as you go through it a second time. I'll leave that up to you.0248

I just want to make it as easy as possible for you to work through each chapter individually if you like, or just go right through the course as you like, downloading each chapter as a new website within Dreamweaver.0305

So, that's a brief overview of how to work with the course files for this course.0320

I've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to have access to both the start files and the final files for the course.0324

So enjoy this course on Dreamweaver CS6.0333

Thank you for watching See you in the next lesson.0340
