Styling Valid, Invalid & Required Fields

  • We are going to look at how to style HTML5 form elements when they are in the valid, invalid and required field states
  • When you add these attributes to your form fields, you can access these attributes for styling the fields
  • These attributes are known as pseudo-classes, very similar to the link states added earlier in the course
  • You do not have to use these pseudo-classes, but they are available to you if you wish to do so
  • In this lesson you become familiar with the 3 pseudo-classes that are available when working with HTML5 form fields and the browser support available

Styling Valid, Invalid & Required Fields

Lecture Slides are screen-captured images of important points in the lecture. Students can download and print out these lecture slide images to do practice problems as well as take notes while watching the lecture.
