In this lecture, our instructor Candyce Mairs demonstrates how to create a pre-defined CSS layout page. This lesson discusses some of the features of a pre-defined CSS layout page and covers how to open, save and name documents.
There are 2 pre-defined layout pages available in Dreamweaver CC, a 2 column and 3 column layout with a header and footer section
We will create a new web page using an HTML5 pre-built layout from Dreamweaver
To create our new pages:
Select the Pre-Defined website in the Files panel dropdown
Choose File-> New
Moving from left to right, choose Blank Page, HTML, HTML5: 2 column fixed, right sidebar, header and footer
Choose Layout CSS-Add to Head
Click the Create button
Save the file as index.html and place it directly into the predefined-begin folder from the course files for this chapter
This page will become our homepage
Our pages are set up with a header, footer, right navigation and 2 column layout
