Dreamweaver CC allows you to change what tag is created using the B and I icon in the Properties panel by going to the General tab in the preferences area for Dreamweaver
HTML5 and XHTML offer differences in the tag you use to bold and italicize text
Bold and italic have changed a bit over the life of HTML and have come back into play with HTML5
The b can create either a bold or a strong tag and the I can create either an I or an em tag
The strong and em tags tell screen readers to read the text differently from other text on the page
It is possible to use the B and I tags once again
You can control which tag Dreamweaver uses for the B and I within the Properties panel
We modified this preference in the General category within Dreamweaver preferences in the Editing Options section earlier in the course
