Creating a jQuery Image Gallery Using EasyRotator

  • We are going to add an image gallery to a new web page using the Easy Rotator Dreamweaver Extension on the easyrotator-slider.html page
  • If you are on Windows, you will need to install a separate program in order to use this extension which is located within the easyrotator files that were downloaded when you downloaded the extension
  • You locate the extension at Insert->DreamweaverUser->EasyRotator
  • We will walk through the wizard that allows us to add photos, choose a template and many other settings for our slide show, and adds all the coding for jQuery that we need within the web page
  • You will need to register in order to use this extension
  • Follow this lesson to install the extension using the wizard, give it a name of rotator, and click the Add Photos button
  • Browse on your system to the folder that contains the images that you want in your slideshow and select the photos you want to add to the slideshow
  • Add a title and description to each photo for the slideshow
  • Continue through the wizard choosing the template and settings using the defaults for everything
  • Click the Preview button to get an idea of what this slideshow looks like before you add it to your web page
  • There are many customizable options available
  • Click the Save and Exit button and click the Insert button to add this to your web page
  • Save and Preview the slideshow in the various browsers
