In this course, our instructor Candyce Mairs demonstrates modifying the footer area within a Dreamweaver CC web page. This lesson also covers copyright regulations and how to insert copyright into your footer area.
The footer area needs to be customized for our web page
Delete the extra text above "address content" in the footer
The footer text is even with the left margin of the page so we will add some spacing
Select footer in the CSS Styles panel
Change the background of the footer to match the header using the eyedropper tool
Note the text is all the way to the left
Select the padding property and modify the 0 to say 30px instead, it should now read 10px 30px
Note how the text has some space on the left hand side
We will now modify the text within the footer area
Select the present text and type Copyright 2013, Tranquil Travel 877-555-3523
Place the cursor in front of the word Copyright
Go to insert->HTML->Special Characters->Copyright to insert the copyright symbol
Add a space after the copyright symbol
We have now customized the footer area of our page
