We are going to look at how to move page content from a web page onto a template page
This process is referred to as applying a template to a page
Now that we have a template with editable regions, we can move our pages onto this template
You can apply a template to any existing page
To apply a template to a page:
Open the page you want to move into the template
Select Modify->Template->Apply Template to Page
You will get a rather non-intuitive dialog box that will ask you what to do with the extra code that is created when combining 2 HTML pages
Select the body and choose the editable region where you want to place that content
If there was coding in the head section of your web page, Dreamweaver will show you a head section also
Choose where to place the head code on the template page if prompted
Look over the new page completely and modify as needed within the editable regions
Save the page and preview in the browser
