Working with Multiple Background Images

  • CSS3 supports the capability to add and work with multiple background images on a single page element
  • The positions that are available are top, bottom, left, right and center and you can combine them
  • Dreamweaver does not have full support for this property within CSS Designer
  • When you work with multiple backgrounds, you have to be careful of the order of the backgrounds in case they overlap
  • The first one listed will always be the top most image in terms of layering
  • There is coding on the page that shows a couple of different ways to add 2 background images to show you 2 different methods for adding multiple background images
  • You can uncomment and comment the 2 different methods in order to view them in the browser
