Hi ,
i'm at the point where i'm suppose to "save as " my first new file to a
predefined-begin files but when i downloaded the course files for this section there isn't anything like that so i'm stuck and not sure how to proceed

Creating a Pre-defined CSS Layout Page

  • There are 2 pre-defined layout pages available in Dreamweaver CC, a 2 column and 3 column layout with a header and footer section
  • We will create a new web page using an HTML5 pre-built layout from Dreamweaver
  • To create our new pages:
    1. Select the Pre-Defined website in the Files panel dropdown
    2. Choose File-> New
    3. Moving from left to right, choose Blank Page, HTML, HTML5: 2 column fixed, right sidebar, header and footer
    4. Choose Layout CSS-Add to Head
    5. Click the Create button
    6. Save the file as index.html and place it directly into the predefined-begin folder from the course files for this chapter
    7. This page will become our homepage
  • Our pages are set up with a header, footer, right navigation and 2 column layout
