Find & Replace for Text or Coding

  • The find and replace feature in Dreamweaver is very powerful
  • If you highlight content on a page before you access the Find/Replace feature, Dreamweaver will populate the Find area with your selection
  • Find and Replace can be accessed using ctrl/cmd-f, or Window->Results->Search
  • You have 2 menus available within this interface
  • The first menu determines what pages Dreamweaver should search
  • The second menu determines what coding to search through and has 4 different options
  • Choose what you want from these 2 menus before you add the information in the Find or Replace areas
