Creating Lists

  • We will create a bulleted list in HTML
  • Open the destinations.html page from your course files
    • Convert the first line to an H1
    • Create a 3 level nested list of destinations
    • To easily create lists in HTML, place each item you want in the list within a paragraph tag in order to work easily within Dreamweaver
    • Always be sure to create the paragraphs first before making the list
    • You use Indent to nest one list within another
    • The List Item button in the Properties panel allows you to select the type of list and the style
    • The UL tag creates the indent for the list
    • The LI tag creates the bullets
    • Move down to the "When traveling" line of text
    • Create a numbered list of these items
    • Change the bullet type for numbered lists using the List Item button
