Exponential Growth and Decay
IX. Exponential and Logarithmic Relations: Lecture 6 | 28:10 min
In this lecture you will learn about Exponential Growth and Decay. First you will begin with Decay and such concepts such as Fixed Percentage and Rate of Decay, followed by the Scientific Model of Decay known as Exponential Decay. Then, you will move onto Growth and the Scientific Model of Growth known as Exponential Growth.
QuickNotes™
Exponential Growth and Decay
If growth or decay is occurring by a fixed percentage during each period of time, use the formula y = a(1 + r)t or y = a(1 r)t. For scientific applications, use the formula y = aekt or y = ae-kt.
