In this lecture you will learn how to Divide Polynomials. You begin first with the case of Dividing by a Monomial before moving into Long Division. Then, you will cover Synthetic Division and understand the role of the Divisor in Synthetic Division before finishing with the four video examples.
When dividing a
polynomial by a binomial, any missing terms of the dividend must be
written explicitly, using a coefficient of 0.
division, the coefficient of the binomial divisor must be 1. If it
is not, the division problem must be rewritten so that it is 1.
