Founded in 1977 by Robert and Shirley Perry, the college is an accredited private junior college concentrates on providing accelerated career-focused instruction based on specifically designed curriculum. The college has grown tremendously over the years and today it has 14 campuses spread all over California: Bakersfield, Delano, two in Fresno, Hanford, Hesperia, Lancaster, Madera, Modesto, Ontario, Rancho Cordova, San Diego, Temecula and Visalia. The college is proud of its achievement in churning out more than 20,000 graduates, prepared for success in their respective professional fields.
SJVC offers a wide variety of Business, Technical and Medical programs to help students advance in their careers. Some of the degrees available are Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Emergency Services and Safety Management, Medical Assistant, Dental Assisting, Surgical Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy Technology and a host of others. The college has helped thousands of graduates acquire the skills needed for the California job market ever since the year 1977. San Joaquin Valley College received regional accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the WASC, an accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.
Online degree programs are available for those that wish to complete their education in a more flexible manner. They will have ample scope to participate in online discussions while working on their course material. Online degrees are offered at the Certificate and Associate’s level. The degrees are offered in fields like Medical Assisting, Business Administration, Construction Management and more.
