Impact Academy of Arts and Technology opened in 2007 for students in the 9th and 10th grades. This school has a curriculum that heavily focuses on college prep. The school also blends the arts and technology into the curriculum to provide a unique learning experience.

Along with the core subjects students are also presented with classes in computer arts, video/film production, dance, drawing/painting, theater/drama, Spanish, basketball, newspaper, student council/government, community service, radio/video/multimedia, science and technology. Academic contests are also available.

Parents love the intimate environment at Impact Academy of Arts and Technology and the teachers that become part of the family. The classrooms are small with individual attention paid to each student. The students are coming home with a love for subjects that before they did not care for at all. Students stated that teachers make learning interesting.

The Academic Performance Index showed an increase of academic growth from 789 to 791. The statewide goal is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

9th grade test results showed averages above the state percentage. 10th grade results were a mix of scores above and below the state averages.

For the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) the students at Impact Academy of Arts and Technology showed great results. 91% passed the English Language Arts exam with the state at 83%. For the Math exam 88% passed with the state average at 84%.
