Imagine School at West Gilbert Review

Imagine School at West Gilbert opened in 2003 to offers students a quality education in a small classroom charter school environment. The school works toward providing students with a caring and nurturing learning experience where parents can be involved in their learning environment. The school has on average 625 students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grades.

Along with the core subjects, the school offers a way to students to express their talents in other areas including extracurricular activities, sports, and clubs. Students can join band, chorus, sculpture, computer arts, painting, dance, orchestra, badminton, basketball, baseball, field hockey, gymnastics, golf, football, physical education classes, martial arts, lacrosse, softball, soccer, volleyball, rugby, ultimate Frisbee, track, wrestling, debate, multimedia, yearbook, newspaper, student council, and science & technology

Most parents are very pleased with the education their students are receiving. The teachers are caring and work with students on a personal level making learning fun. Only a small amount of parents express that the school is a bit disorganized. Students love the school, teachers, and enjoy going to school. The learning environment is one that helps students excel and become productive members of society.

The AIMS series of tests is given to students in public schools across the state of Arizona including public charter school. When compared to state averages, the percentage of 3rd that passed the exam in reading and math were above average with writing percentages below the state average by 6%. Students in 4th were close to the state averages in reading and writing, but below average in science by almost 20% and 22% below in math. 5th graders were above average in reading and writing, but below in math. Test scores for other grades are not available.

It would be best if you learn more about the school as their math test scores were below average in every grade.
