Center for Educational Excellence Review

The Center for Educational Excellence opened in 1997 in Tempe Arizona to provide students in grades kindergarten through 8th with an alternative to public education that allows them to learn at his or her own pace. The school not only appeals to the core subjects but works with students to ensure they excel in life skills as well. Along with core subjects the school offers extra curricular activities and student clubs such as computer arts, chorus, dance, band, theater, painting, debate, community service, academic services, newspaper, student council, yearbook, science & technology, and radio/video/multimedia. Sports offered at the school include baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, softball, fencing, gymnastics, and physical education classes.

Parents are very happy with the learning environment found at the Center for Educational Excellence that meet academic, social, and personal needs of each student. The principal is friendly and greets students every morning at the door. Teachers are caring and nurturing, lending a hand when needed to every student.

A few parents chose this school over private schools in the area as well as public schools due to the curriculum, safe and nurturing environment, and the success the school has proven within the community. All parents are pleased with the challenging curriculum and attention the staff and teachers provide to both students and parents.

In the state of Arizona, the AIMS series of tests are used to measure if students are mastering core subjects. Students at the Center of Educational Excellence participated in the testing. The percentages of students that passed or exceeded the exam along with the state averages of students are listed below.
