Setting Up the Export with Photoshop, Part 1

  • Photoshop contains a slice tool that we can use to help us create the individual images for our web page
  • The first step the export process is to slice our design
  • Each slice we create will become an individual image that we use on our web page
  • Choose the slice tool
  • We draw out a slice over the area we want to become an image
  • Then we name that slice area
  • When we export our design, Photoshop will create images in the format & settings we wish to use
  • Draw the slices
  • Show what the slice looks like
  • Name our images
  • Using this process, we have told Photoshop to create an individual image for each slice & we have given each of those images a name
