Understanding Delegates

  • Delegates are used as pointers to methods that handle events
  • You can have multiple Delegates handle the same event. Delegates “daisy-chained” in this way do not pass the return values through the chain
  • You use AddressOf to tell the Delegate where to look for the method it needs
  • .Invoke is used to call the Delegate
  • When adding or removing a delegate from a delegate chain you use the standard + and - operators
