Working with the Common Library

  • We will want to convert our 3 headings to heading text so these will be exported & contain the heading tags for HTML
  • We will make our top heading an H1
  • We will make the other 2 headings H2
  • The text in this document will automatically be converted to paragraph text by Fireworks
  • We just need to set up the heading tags differently
  • Create a new 800 x 600 document
    • Set a canvas color
    • Add a line of text at the top that says “This is my heading 1 text.”
    • Use Commands->Text & choose lorem ipsum to create a new paragraph of text
    • Hold Alt down & copy that paragraph
    • We will replace the first line of text with an HTML Heading 1 from the Common Library
    • When we do this, Fireworks will create paragraph tags for our regular text & heading tags for these Common Library Heading tags
    • Must use the Symbol properties to change the text for the heading 1
    • Show in the export how FW makes these tags
