Convex Mirror

  • The main equation for spherical mirrors

    1/f = 1/p + 1/q

  • f = focal length, + for a concave mirror, - for a convex mirror.
  • p = distance from object to mirror, + if object is real, - if object is virtual.
  • q = distance of image to mirror, + if image is real, - if image is imaginary.
