ColdFusion Validation Options

  • Cflocation tag
  • The process for redirecting is as follows
  • ColdFusion continues to execute code up to the <cflocation> tag.
  • Once the <cflocation> tag is encountered, an HTTP error is generated and sent back to the browser--the page has moved, and provides the redirected URL to the browser.
  • The browser then takes the redirected URL and makes a second request of the web server for the new file.
  • The web server finds and sends back the new page.
  • NOTE: Any HTML that was being built up to the <cflocation> tag will be discardedA sequence of statements you can name & run
