Playback & Zooming

  • Sibelius Sounds: Sibelius 7 comes loaded with sounds that we initially have installed from the content discs
  • Configuration: You can still change your sound set up after the score opened up by going to the “Play” tab and clicking on “Configuration”.
  • Playback: To playback your score, you can simply press the “space bar” or go to the transport group under the “play” tab and choose play.
  • Playback Line: There is a green line appearing and moving during the playback that indicates where the playback is taking place in the score.
  • Transport: There are a few other changes you could make under transport such as rewind, fast-forward or going to the beginning of the score/ going to the end of the score.
  • Live-Tempo: It gives you ability to tap a tempo or record.
  • Live Playback: Sibelius’s ability to playback the entire score.
  • Interpretation: When Sibelius plays note-head markings, slurs, dynamics & thrills will playback.
  • Video: When you use Sibelius to score music for picture.
  • One other way to playback: there is one other way to access to playback differently than transport functions is by letter “P”.
  • Sibelius Mixer: There are a few ways to turn on the mixer in Sibelius.
  • Zooming: You can zoom with your zoom slider in the bottom vertically and horizontally.
