In this lesson our instructor talks about MIDI keyboard and Flexi time. First he discusses step-time note entry. Then he talks about entering rests and articulations. He finishes the lesson with a lecture on real time not entry with Flexi Time.
Step-Time Note Entry is a similar way to entering notes by your computer keyboard except instead of using the alpha keyboard to entering notes by letters
Entering Rests & Articulations:
You can choose the value & press ZERO on your keypad
To enter a TIE simply play the first note that press on ENTER key on your keypad, choose the value of the note you wish the tie to, and play the second note
It will be smart to toggle off the articulation when youre done writing them so simply hit escape
Flexi Time Option is under the Note Input tab in the ribbon
You will see on the bottom right corner there is a little arrow icon, click on that to get the Flexi Time options.
When you use the Flexi Time feature, click will adjust to your performance tempo.
