In group-14 the atom will eighter have a charge of 4+ or 4-. How do you determin the oxidation number in this case? Also wanted to say that you're great teacher. Thanks !

Periodic Table

  • The Periodic Table of the Elements organizes all the different elements, or different types of atoms.
  • ATOMIC NUMBER gives the number of protons in one atom of the element.
  • CHEMICAL SYMBOL is the abbreviation for each element
  • ATOMIC MASS is measured not in grams, but in atomic mass units (amu). Atomic mass is the weighted average mass of the isotopes.
