e-Cornell University Review

Cornell University provides exceptional learning experiences tailored to meet the strategic learning and development goals of students. This school has a goal of creating a community and looks at research and scientific inquiry as the cornerstone in the creation of leaders. All the programs of study are specifically designed to allow professional and personal growth, while keeping alive the spirit of curiosity and a sense of creativity in the students. The Cornell faculty is highly literate and experts in their fields, ensuring students are provided engaging and interactive learning.

Cornell University was founded in 1865 after the American Civil War, and was masterminded by Andrew Dickson White and Ezra Cornell. The school provides education to students from all countries, regardless of race, nationality, gender, social circumstance or religion. It reflects the heritage of egalitarian excellence. The Ithaca campus in New York is the main campus and has almost 20,000 students from 120 different countries. Students that are taking courses from eCornell, which is their online school, never need to set foot on the campus and they can complete all their coursework sitting in the comfort of their homes. Jeffrey Lehman, the first Cornell alumnus to become its president, called Cornell University, “the transnational university of the future.”

The eCornell University is wholly-owned by Cornell University and boasts of the most comprehensive online curriculum offered by any of the top 20 universities in the United States. They offer courses in several areas, authored by Ivy League faculty and other experts in their fields, which include leadership and strategic management, human resources management, hospitality and food service management as well as financial management.

The school also offers corporate programs that target the middle and senior level leadership, human resources staff, emerging managers and others. Corporate programs can also be customized for employees, in the form of instructor-led course sections, company-specific course content along with live sessions with faculty course instructors, both online and on-site.

This university was designed to help students who are working full-time and do not have the time to attend classes on campus, but wish to get the education they could have on the campus. Online courses offer the same high-quality education that is offered on the eCornell campus. Students are provided access to their course material in various formats, including the usual text form, CD-ROMs and video tapes. All students get to interact with their professors and other students and this enables them to clarify all their doubts and discuss their projects. Students also have the facility of getting personal attention from the faculty through phone contact or email. Certification courses are offered in Human Resources Management, Project Leadership, Strategic Hospitality Management, Hotel Real Estate Investments and Bird Biology.

eCornell University also provides discounts on the courses to all Federal, State and local government employees.

For working adults, looking to achieve their educational goals in an attempt to fulfil their professional goals, eCornell University is one of the best online universities that offers the best to online students.
