Chamberlain College of Nursing Review

Chamberlain College of Nursing is a high level educational institution that is dedicated to educating nurses, professionals and students and offers them courses that make a difference not only to them but for the patients as well. The school concentrates on providing the complete history of the medical field, general education courses as well as hands-on clinical practice with a mentor in an approved health facility. Students are taught to be compassionate towards their patients and be competent members of a healthcare team. While career mobility is a top priority, individual growth is given importance too. Most importantly, students are given career-specific training preparing them to fully implement the acquired knowledge in their respective careers.

Chamberlain College based in St. Louis, was founded in 1889 as a school of nursing that awarded diplomas. It was originally called the Deaconess College of Nursing and the name was changed in 2005 to Chamberlain College when the school was taken under the wing of the DeVry family of schools. The school now has campuses in Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; and Addison, IL. It also has an online section that serves students wishing to study from home. Both Associate’s and Bachelor’s level degrees in nursing are offered. The school has several accreditations to its credit: the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); and the Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

The Columbus campus offers Associate level nursing programs, the BSN degree programs are offered by the Columbus, St. Louis, Phoenix and Addison campuses, the LPN to RN Bridge Program is offered at the Columbus and St. Louis campuses, and the fast track BSN and RN degree programs are offered online.

The quality of the ASN and BSN programs offered online at Chamberlain is the same as that of students attending on-campus classes. No differentiation is made between on campus and online students, with the only difference being online classes are held online completely without the need for students to attend the school physically at any time during the training. Students are given the opportunity to interact with each other students as well as the faculty with the help of discussion boards. There is an online library where all the reference material can be found, a college bookstore as well as technical support at all times. All graduation programs provide general education classes along with the topics chosen by the students.

For students interested in pursuing careers in nursing and health care, Chamberlain is the perfect way of fulfilling their dreams in the most convenient way possible. Every student is given the personalized attention needed and students are taught the holistic processes of nursing.

Chamberlain College concentrates on individual development while focusing on health and nursing and everything related to it. The high quality of education the school provides makes it one of the most sought after colleges for nursing, with thousands of people doing their online courses.
