Vista Grove Preparatory Academy opened in 2008 for students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The charter school offers a curriculum that is emphases college prep blended with the arts. The administration knows that core subjects are very important however, many traditional schools leave out the arts, which are just as important. The school focuses on these subjects to ensure students learn the importance of the arts.

Vista Grove Preparatory Academy is part of the Leona Group of schools that provide tuition free charter schools so all students have the opportunity to attend an alternative to traditional school facilities. These schools provide individualized lessons so each student can and will succeed. Students are challenged with hands on learning in a safe and nurturing environment. As part of the Leona Group the school emphasis is on the philosophy that is instilled in each school in the system which is that all children can and will learn no matter their educational, economic, or ethnicity disadvantages. All schools in the system offer free tuition and do not discriminate to ensure that all children have the opportunity to receive a quality education. The school offers small class size with nurturing and devoted teachers. Along with core subjects, the school offers baseball, cheerleading, and football for students that wish to participate.

Parents are pleased that the school opened and has given them the opportunity to enroll their children in a school that offers a more family style learning environment.

The school has not published any test scores so it would be best if you ask to see the results of the AIMS exams before enrolling your child. Taking a tour of the facility as well as talking with other parents should help you make a decision if the school is a good fit for your child.
