Valley Life Charter opened in 1012 to provide families with an alternative to traditional school with a challenging curriculum for students in kindergarten through 12th grades. The focus is on visual and performing arts. Along with a brick and mortar school, Valley Life Charter also offers a home school program for families that wish to home school. The school offers all the resources and supplies needed for families to provide a quality education at home.
At this time, the school does not offer any extra curricular activities, student clubs, or sports. However, field trips and other events are scheduled throughout the year.
Parents are very pleased with all the choices the school offers to help their children succeed. The principal, staff, and teachers are dedicated to the school, students, and community. Students enjoy attending school at home as well as on site. Many stated they would like to see more activities offered soon.
The Academic Performance Index was not available.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams was not available at the time of this writing.
Since the scores of exams were not available it would be in your best interest to talk with other parents, teachers, as well as take a tour of the school to ensure the learning environment is a good fit for your family.
