Synergy Kinetic Academy Middle School opened in 2009 to provide students in 6th through 8th grades with a quality education with an emphasis on creating synergies in the educational infrastructure to nurture learning. The student body is predominantly Hispanic with an 87% percentile.

the school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or student clubs at this time.

Most parents expressed that they are so glad they have the opportunity to place their children in this wonderful middle school. The majority of parents stated that the teachers work with students on a personal level to help each one succeed. Students are very happy attending school. Most expressed that the teachers are the nicest and most caring they have met.

The Academic Performance Index declined 32 points to 805. The statewide goal is 800. Parents were not happy with such a huge drop but are pleased the school is still above the goal and that they scored 8 out of 10 for the API statewide rank.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams was mixed. The percentages were a bit shocking to parents that expected the school and students to have a better showing. Examples include 44% of 6th graders passed the English exam with the state average at 59% and 33% of 7th graders passed the math exam with the state at 52%.

By the comments of parents and students, the school is doing a wonderful job. However, the drop in API score and the low percentage of students passing the Standards tests it would be a good idea to talk with teachers and administration prior to enrolling your child.
