Synergy Charter Academy opened in 2004 to provide families with an alternative to traditional schools for students in kindergarten through 4th grades. The school adds a unique approach to learning that creates synergies in the educational infrastructure to nurture learning. The student body is predominantly Hispanic with an 86% percentile.
Due to the age of the students, the school does not offer any extra curricular activities, sports, or student clubs at this time.
Most parents stated that the teachers and staff are wonderful. The curriculum and teachers push the students to challenge them in all subjects. Parents really like the way that the school emphases real life skills that will help their students prepare for the remainder of their school years. Students really like going to school and their teachers.
The Academic Performance Index increased 47 points to 934. The statewide goal is 800. Parents could not be happier with this score and the API statewide rank of 9 out of 10.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams was all above average in all grade levels and all subjects with many in the 90 percentile.
The school is providing students with an exception beginning to their educational years. It would still be a good idea to take a tour to ensure the learning environment is best for your child before enrolling.
