Stockton Health Careers Academy opened in 2011 to offers students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma while focusing on health careers. The school provide core subjects but with an emphasis on health careers via several community service opportunities. The school serves students in 9th through 12th grades.

The school does not offer student clubs, sports, or extra curricular activities besides those that are centered on health careers.

Parents are very pleased with the school and the unique curriculum. Most expressed it is the best school for their children, as they want a career in health industries. Students are glad the school opened and is providing them with the opportunity to prepare for college and to have a health related career. Many students are very pleased with all the guest speakers and others that provide them with information regarding schools for health careers and beyond.

The Academic Performance Index was 681. The statewide goal is 800. Parents and students alike would like to see this score be higher.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams was not available at the time of this writing.

The California High School Exit Exam tests 10th graders mastering skills in English language arts and mathematics. The results of these exams were not available.

According to comments of parents and students, the school is providing students with a quality education. Since the results of the exams were not available, it would be in your best interest to learn more about the results prior to enrolling your child.
