Sacramento SIATech Review

Sacramento SIATech opened in 2001 to offer families and students the opportunity to live out their academic dreams. Future goals are very important to the staff and a large focus for the school in general. The school serves students in 9th through 12th grades.

The school curriculum is based on individualized programs for each student. Weekly goal setting is done to ensure that each student is on track for his or her future. Time management is also a big key to the success of the students. Reading, support teams, CAHSEE prep, graphic arts, hands-on science experiments and public speaking skills are also implemented.

Parents are very pleased with the teaching formats offered at the school. They know that their children are receiving a unique approach to learning with their child’s future in mind. The students love that they are focused and prepared for high school and beyond. Students really enjoy attending a school that helps prepare them for their career instead of just focusing on academics.

The Academic Performance Index was not available at the time this article was written.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The California High School Exit Exam tests 10th graders mastering skills in English language arts and mathematics. The test scores for the students at Sacramento SIATech were not available at the time this article was written.

With a dedicated staff and unique curriculum, Sacramento SIATech may just be the school for your family. However, since the exam scores are not available, it would be a good idea to speak with administration to learn how well the school is doing prior to enrolling your child.
