Presidio de las Sierras School is one of the charter schools under the management of Presidio Schools. This school opened in 2011 in Sierra Vista providing families with an alternative to traditional learning environments. The school prides itself on working with the whole student to ensure they succeed and are taught diversity, responsibility, and the value of respect. Students that attend the school are in grades kindergarten through eighth.

The curriculum offered at presidio de las Sierras is beyond the state requirements while providing students with a safe and nurturing environment. Teachers are caring and work closely with students to make sure they are learning to the best of their ability. Positive reinforcement is the major theme of the school ensuring that students have an “I can” attitude. The school works with parents and the community to ensure that students receive the best educational tools available.

The state of Arizona Department of Education has given the school a letter grade of B, which is very good for a school that has not been open very long. The percentage of students passing the AIMS series of exams was high with 70% passing math and writing while 86% percent passed reading.

Parents are excited about the opportunity the school is providing as well as the education their children are receiving.
