Pine Mountain Learning Center Review

Pine Mountain Learning Center opened in 2008 to provide students in Kindergarten through 6th grades with a great education. The curriculum is standards based with learning that is focused on hands on projects. The academic program is theme based as well.

Along with core subjects, the school offers sports and other extra curricular activities for its students. This includes field trips and teacher type activities to ensure that the school day never gets boring.

Parents are thrilled with the curriculum and the teachers that focus on the students and want to help them succeed. The school is small which are also what parents and students both love. The enrollment is done like a lottery, but all of the parents say that the school is definitely worth the wait because their kids actually cannot wait to go to school.

The Academic Performance Index showed a decrease of 10 points from the previous year to a score of 889. The statewide goal is 800. Parents are pleased with the number and know that the decrease is just another way for the school to improve and become better than ever.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams was above the state averages for the 3rd, 4th and 6th grade exams. Results were unavailable at this time for 2nd and 5th grades.

The school is providing students with a great education and giving parents the opportunity to be involved. If you would like more information, schedule a tour today and speak with the teachers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
