Paradise Charter Middle School Review

Paradise Charter Middle School opened in 1995 to provide the community with an alternative to traditional schools. The school serves students in 6th through 8th grades. The school prepares students for college as well as high school with critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Along with core subjects, the school offers sports and other extracurricular activities. This includes physical education classes, flag football, cross-country, volleyball, basketball and student council. This makes parents and the students happy however they would like more choices when it comes to activities.

Parents are thrilled with the curriculum and the teachers that treat all students with respect in a safe learning environment. Several parents stated their children raised their reading levels once they started attending the school. Parents expressed their love for the teachers and how much Paradise Charter Middle School is a great foundation for their children’s educational future. Students said they feel safe at school and do not want to miss a day. Many said the teachers listen to them and want to help them succeed.

The Academic Performance Index showed a decrease of 5 points from the previous year to a score of 868. The statewide goal is 800. Parents are pleased with the number.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The percentage of students passing the exams was above the state averages across the 6th, 7th and 8th grade exams.

The school is providing students with an exceptional education with a dedicated staff. It would still be a good idea to ensure the school is the right fit for your family before enrolling your child.
