National University Academy – Orange Center opened in 2011 for 6th through 12th grades. This school offers online study as well as onsite classes for a well balanced educational experience. This is perfect for students that need an alternative to traditional teaching.

This school pairs online learning with onsite courses. Students have the opportunity to enjoy a flexible schedule that helps them achieve a high school diploma with a career driven focus.

Both parents and students alike love what National University Academy – Orange Center offers. Parents get to be more involved with the learning process while their kids get to learn in a new and different way from traditional teaching. Having online education options gives the parents the opportunity to watch what their children are learning while also being involved and creating more family time. The downside of the school is that the school does not offer any sports, clubs, or extra curricular activities. Both parents and students commented they would like to see more activities outside of the classroom for students to meet others of their own age.

The Academic Performance Index showed no score at this time.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The percentage of students passing the exam was not available at the time of this writing.

It would be a good idea to learn more about the results of the exams as well as the California Exit Exam prior to enrolling your child. You will want to ensure that your child will be able to receive a quality education. Some students do not do as well with online classes as others, so this is something that you have to decide for yourself.
