Mueller Elementary Charter School opened in 2004 for Kindergarten through 8th grades. This school goes above and beyond by teaching living skills, social skills, thinking skills, individuality, creativity and divergent thinking. The school also offers programs for limited English proficiency students.

Along with core subjects, students can participate in basketball, flag football, softball, elementary football, elementary kickball, cheer and cross-country. Students expressed they would like to see more activities such as choir, computer arts, and student clubs like student council.

Parents love what Mueller Elementary Charter School brings to the table. They have stated that the teachers are very inspirational and encouraging. Some parents have said that the school does not care about students with learning disabilities, but others stated the teachers work with all students equally.

What the students love is the variety of sports available and the events that the school has like honor festivities, being nature smart and assemblies for extraordinary resilience.

The Academic Performance Index showed an increase in academic growth from 841 to 849, pleasing current and prospective parents of Mueller Elementary Charter School. The statewide goal is a score of 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.

The test results at Mueller Elementary Charter School showed both ups and downs with the scores against the state averages. For example, 36% of 3rd graders passed the English Language Arts exam with the state at 48%. On the Math exam 73% passed with the state at 69%.
