Los Angeles SIATech opened in 1999 for students in grades 9th through 12th. The school works to improve ethnic diversity as well as ensure that all students receive a quality education. The school focuses on acceptance while avoiding racial and gender discrimination.
The objective of the school is for students to speak languages other than English fluently, develop a love and passion for music, art, poetry and films based upon their own lives and strive for family commitment. Computer assisted instruction is also used with software packages like Microsoft Word, Excel and others. At this time, the school does not offer extra curricular activities, sports or other programs besides the ones listed.
Parents of Los Angeles SIATech love that their kids have somewhere to go that respects them as individuals. Students feel appreciated and cared and loved having teachers that will help them every step of the way. With the safe and nurturing environment, more of the students expressed their desire to stay in school.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The results of the exams were not available at the time of this writing.
