Los Angeles Leadership Primary Academy opened in 2011 for grades Kindergarten through 5th. The school focuses on preparing urban secondary students to succeed in their chosen future, whether career or college driven. The school offers a creative curriculum with continual support.
Along with core subjects, Los Angeles Leadership Primary Academy offers extra curricular activities, sports, and other programs, which include computer arts, chorus, dance, theater/drama, basketball, track, student council/government, yearbook, community service and academic contests.
The teachers at Los Angeles Leadership Primary Academy are by far the best in the area, as stated by parents. They really care about the students and encourage them to succeed. The parents love the way the teachers are devoted to the school and the students. The students say that they feel like they get the chance to create lifelong relationships with their teachers.
The Academic Performance Index was not available at this time. The California statewide goal is a score of 800.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The results of the exams were not available at the time of this writing.
The school according to parents and students is providing a quality education. Since the results of the state standards tests were not available, it would be a good idea to talk with administration to learn how well students are doing to meet the standards before enrolling your child.
