Lakeview Charter Academy Review

Lakeview Charter Academy opened in 2004 for students in grades 6th through 8th. The school offers individualized education plans for every student so that personal goals and achievements are recognized and strengthened.

Along with a curriculum of core subjects, there are extracurricular activities. These include drawing/painting, theater/drama, computer arts, and dance, basketball, softball, soccer, physical education classes, student council/government, science, and technology and community service options.

Parents rave about the quality and dedication of the teachers, the principal’s awesome leadership and how much involvement they get to have with the school. Most students really enjoy the school and expressed that teachers were very helpful.

The Academic Performance Index showed a decline in academic growth from a score of 867 to 856. The statewide goal is a score of 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. The majority of the test scores for Lakeview Charter Academy were higher than the state averages. The only one that fell below those scores was the 6th grade English Language Arts exam with 57% of students passing against the state average of 59%.

The school is doing an exceptional job of providing students with the educational tools they need to succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. To learn more about the school and ensure the learning environment fits with your family, you should take a tour.
