Along with the core subjects students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. These include are band, computer arts, chorus, dance, photography, ceramics/sculpture, and drawing/painting, Spanish, student council, audio/video/multimedia, yearbook, debate, science and technology. There is also community service and academic contests. The athletic program consists of baseball, physical education classes, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, football, lacrosse and soccer.

Most parents stated that KIPP Los Angeles College Preparatory School is amazing, but there is very little space so you should find that out before getting your hopes up. Every child is treated as if they are gifted so each one of their strengths is used to its potential. Students said they really enjoy going to school and their teachers.
