Golden Lakes Charter Review

Golden Lakes Charter opened in 2011 for grades kindergarten through 12th. This charter school offers a curriculum of the major core classes and sets a standard of education for students of all ages. Golden Lakes provides each student with a challenging experience to motivate them to become a success every step of the way of their education.

Besides the core classes Golden Lakes Charter offers more to students for their everyday learning experience. Music is a huge part of the curriculum here at Golden Lakes. A keyboarding class is offered where piano theory, performance and technique are learned. There is even a STOMP class that gets students moving.

Golden Lakes Charter is a great school for students to express their creativity. Kids love the playground when they are young and the music program, as they get a little older. This school focuses on each student individually and is loved by parents. The teachers were also mentioned to being very devoted and well liked.

The Academic Performance Index showed a score of 725. The state standard is 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades. Neither the California Standards Tests nor the California High School Exit Exam is offered at the school at this time.

The 2012 graduating class of Golden Lakes Charter consisted of five students.

Golden Lakes Charter is a school for every age to explore and get on the right track to education. If you would like to learn more about the school and talk with its teachers schedule a tour today.
