Flagstaff Junior Academy Review

Flagstaff Junior Academy opened in 1996 as a public charter school providing an alternative to public schools for students in 1st through 8th grades. The school offers a small learning environment that promotes self esteem as well as one on one instruction that provides students with the desire to learning, excel, and be curious about the world around them.

Along with core subjects the school offers extra curricular activities such as band, computer arts, dance, ceramics, painting, drama, photography, film production, and computer arts. Sports offered include cross country, basketball, physical education classes, track, ultimate Frisbee, wrestling, and volleyball. The school also offers other programs and student clubs including yearbook, community service, student council, and newspaper.

Students express how much they enjoy going to Flagstaff Junior Academy where they feel comfortable, safe, and love learning. Teachers are very caring, understanding, and want to ensure each student succeeds. Parents like the small class sizes, the opportunity for students to work at their own pace, and the curriculum that provides above average and fun subjects that help students want to learn.
