Endeavor College Preparatory Charter School opened in 2009 to serve the students in the communities of Downtown, Chinatown, Lincoln Heights, Boyle Heights, Little Tokyo, and East Los Angeles. The school serves students in 4th through 8th grades with a college prep curriculum.
Along with core subjects, Endeavor College Preparatory Charter School offers extra curricular activities including film production, drama, and dance. No sports are available at this time. The only student club available is student newspaper.
Parents expressed that the school is strict as well as a safe. The curriculum is amazing and as stated by parents providing their children with the necessary tools to be prepared for the remainder of their school years. Students stated they love their teachers and staff. The only negative comment was that students would like to see more extra-curricular activities, clubs, and sports.
The Academic Performance Index showed academic growth from 848 to 876. The goal statewide is a score of 800.
The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams at Endeavor College Preparatory Charter School was above average across all grade levels and all subjects.
