El Dorado COE Community Day School Review

El Dorado COE Community Day School is a charter school that opened in 2006 for students that are at risk or have been expelled or suspended from traditional school. The school serves students in kindergarten through 6th grades. The school creates a lesson plan once a student’s strengths and assets are identified as well as aids in developing these factors to the highest possible level. The program is designed especially for students that have had issues meeting the academic, social, and behavioral standards in traditional schools. The small class size ensures the success of each student. The school uses individual attention, clear consequences, and positive reinforcement while providing a personalized learning plan. The curriculum offers is based on state standards.

At this time, the school does not offer extra curricular activities, sports or student clubs.

Parents expressed they are very glad that school opened in their community and is providing their children with the opportunity to receive a quality education when traditional schools were not providing their children with an education. Students stated they really enjoy going to school at El Dorado COE Community Day School at that the teachers are very helpful. Many commented that they are doing much better in this school and are actually learning.

At the time of this writing, the performance of El Dorado COE Community Day School with the Academic Performance Index was not available.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
At this time, the percentages of students passing the exams were not available.

Since the test scores were not available, it would be a good idea to talk with administration to learn more regarding the results of the exams. You should also take a tour of the school to ensure the environment is one that will help your child succeed prior to enrolling.
