El Camino Real Charter High opened in 2011 for students in 6th through 12th grades. The school provides a variety of curriculum models to ensure that each student will be able to learn and succeed within a safe and nurturing environment that fits their needs. The various curriculum models found at El Camino Real Charter High include advanced placement courses, direct instruction, honors track, gifted, standards based, and project based. The school also offers college prep courses and a fully program for special educational students.

Along with core subjects, El Camino Real Charter High offers extra curricular activities including drawing, drama, dance, chorus, computer arts, band, orchestra, and film production. Sports offered include football, cheerleading, baseball, basketball, cross-country, soccer, physical education classes, softball, volleyball, track, wrestling, swimming and tennis. Other programs students can join are science & technology, debate, multimedia, community service, yearbook, academic contests, newspaper, and student council. The vocational program available is food service.

Comments from parents were good stating that the staff and teachers work to ensure the success of students. They school provides all the tools needed to help students prepare for their college years. Students expressed just how much teachers help them prepare for college as well as help them decide what courses to take to ensure their success.

The Academic Performance Index showed academic growth from 804 to 832. The goal statewide is a score of 800.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams at El Camino Real Charter High was above state average across all grade levels and subjects.

the California High School Exit Exam tests 10th graders mastering skills in English language arts and mathematics. The percentage of students at El Camino Real Charter High passing the English Language Arts exam was 95% with the state average at 83% and in math 94% with the state average at 84%.

El Camino Real Charter High is providing students with the skills necessary to go to college or join the workforce. With the percentages of students being above state averages, the school is doing an excellent job.
