Eagle Peak Montessori School opened in 2001 for students in 1st through 4th grades offering a Montessori Method of learning. The Montessori Method is a unique learning style that creates an environment where students can learn in a hands on discovery experience. Students work in groups where older children can help the younger children. Multi age classrooms aid students by allowing them to work at their own pace and never feeling behind or ahead of the rest of the class.

Along with core subjects, Eagle Peak Montessori School provides extra curricular activities including drama, painting, sculpture, dance, chorus, photography, film production, and band. Sports available include football, basketball, physical education classes, soccer, and yoga. Other programs include debate, science & technology, yearbook, community service, academic contests, and student government.

The majority of parents praised the school and the teachers. Most stated that teachers are very involved and work with students on a personal level. Parents are very pleased with the progress they are seeing with their children at home and at school. Students really enjoy attending school and the various hands on programs available.

The Academic Performance Index showed a slight decline in academic growth from 917 to 914. The statewide goal for schools is a 800 score.

The California Standards Tests is used to learn if students are mastering core subjects. The various tests are given to 2nd through 11th grades in English, grades 2nd through 7th are given tests in math, and science tests are administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th, while history tests are given to students in 8th and 11th grades.
The percentage of students passing the exams at Eagle Peak Montessori School was above state averages in all grade levels and subjects.
