E-STEM Public Charter High School Review

E-STEM Public Charter High School is part of the e-Stem school system that offers a college prep program that centers on math, engineering, science, and technology. The school opened in 2008 to provide an alternative to traditional schools for students in 9th through 12th grades.

The school provides a rigorous educational program that is engaging and interactive. The school has an extended school year and longer school day than traditional schools, which helps students that need that extra time to receive the help they need to succeed.

The curriculum used is one that ensures the success of students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and productive members of the community. The staff and teachers encourage students to become life long learners while helping them every step of the way. The administration is proud of their curriculum, which includes individualized plans so students never have to worry about how they are doing when compared to their peers.

The core of the system is achievement student learning. The school has a zero tolerance policy for bullying and ensures their campus is safe where students can feel safe and learn in a close-knit community.

Parents in Little Rock are happy they have a choice for a high school that is safe for their children to attend that also offers college prep courses. Parents and students alike expressed that the school and teachers are very helpful and that the curriculum is challenging. Students enjoy attending the school and graduating often earlier than expected.

The school has not published any test results. In the state of Arkansas, students in 3rd through 11th grades are tests in literacy while students in 3rd through 8th grades are tested in math using the Benchmark exam. You should ask to see the test results to learn if the students at this school are meeting all state requirements to graduate from high school. Take a tour of the school and talk with other parents before making a decision of enrolling your child.
