E-STEM Elementary Public Charter School Review

E-STEM Elementary Public Charter School is part of the e-Stem school system that offers a college prep program that centers on math, engineering, science, and technology. The school opened in 2008 to provide an alternative to traditional schools for students in kindergarten through 11th grades.

The school provides a challenging educational program in an interactive and engaged learning environment. The school offers a longer school day and extended school year to ensure students receive the best quality education available with qualified teachers.

The curriculum produces problem solvers, critical thinkers, and productive members of the community. The staff and teachers encourage students to become life long learners and to take chances. The administration is proud of their curriculum that provides individualized plans that ensure students are learning at their level instead of waiting for the class to catch up or feeling overwhelmed when they are a bit behind.

The core of the system is achievement student learning. The next point is discipline, which has been proven that students learn better when they feel safe, thus the school has a zero tolerance for bullying or violence.

Parents in Little Rock are very pleased with the school and teachers. They have commented that the school is great and provides them with alternative to a large school where their children were not learning as well as they would like. The small classes and secure campus is an added bonus.

The school has not published any test results. In the state of Arkansas, the Benchmark Exam is used to test students. Students in 3rd through 11th grades are tests in literacy while students in 3rd through 8th grades are tested in math. Since the results are not available at this time, it would be in your best interest to talk with parents that have students attending the school and ask about the results of the Benchmark exam to make sure the school is a good fit for your child.
